Dr. Gandal is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Genetics, and Pediatrics and a member of the Lifespan Brain Institute at Penn Medicine and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The Gandal Lab conducts large-scale genomic profiling of the human brain across development to characterize gene and isoform-level regulatory mechanisms and their relationship with neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders. The lab also conducts genome-wide association studies of EHR-based developmental phenotypes and builds new tools and functional genomic resources for complex trait mapping.
