Dr. Friedman is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Hematology, and in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.    His main clinical practice is in Transfusion Medicine, comprising Blood Banking and Therapeutic Apheresis.  Research interests include clinical research in these areas including transfusion support for sickle cell disease and other patient populations, and pediatric apheresis including mononuclear cell collection.
