Dr. Nishant Sinha is a neuroscientist and engineer whose research bridges neural data science, clinical neuroscience, and scalable computational tools to advance personalized care for neurological disorders. He is an Assistant Professor of Informatics in the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Informatics at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. As Director of the Penn NeuroBridge Laboratory, he leads efforts in quantitative biomarker development, multi-center data harmonization, and predictive modeling to improve treatment selection and outcome prediction. His work focuses on integrating multimodal neural data, developing scalable methods that generalize across sites, and translating analytic tools into rigorously validated clinical applications. His lab, supported by multiple federal, foundation, and philanthropic grants, builds reproducible, cloud-based infrastructure for neural data processing and partners across clinical, engineering, and informatics communities to accelerate impact in neurology and neuroengineering.

Nishant is highly collaborative and deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of translational scientists. As a faculty member of the Center for Neuroengineering and Therapeutics, the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, the Penn Institute for Biomedical Informatics, and the Biomedical and Bioengineering Graduate Groups, he works across the Schools of Engineering and Medicine. His lab provides a strong training environment for clinicians and engineers alike, with software engineers, data scientists, research coordinators, and project managers working together to innovate, educate, and build infrastructure for translational science.
